Can I Join anytime?

Yes. Little Macs Playgroup accepts new members every day of the year, lots of families join at many different points within the year – you don’t have to wait until a term starts!

 

Who joins playgroup?

All kinds of people join Playgroup. Parents, grandparents, carers and nannies, everyone is welcome into a Little Macs Playgroup session. You don’t have to be a Defence family to join a playgroup session our Streeton sessions are open to anyone who'd like to come along. You don't have to know anyone!

How old are the children that attend Little Macs Playgroup?

The families who attend our Playgroup all have children under the age of 5.

What do I need to bring?
  • A snack/lunch and drink for your child
  • Sunscreen and hat for you and your child in terms 1 & 4 actiivites
  • You may want to bring a change of clothes for any mishaps, however smocks are provided for messy activities

  • A warm coat in terms 2 & 3 because we still run outdoors

 

 

We are not a Defence family. Can I join?

Yes. Little Macs Playgroup sessions held at Streeton Primary School is open to community members who would like to attend.

I am a grandparent/carer/guardian who looks after a child. Can I join?

Absolutely. We love having a diverse range of ‘families’ here at Little Macs.

What are the term dates?

Little Macs Playgroup is open during school terms including school holidays:

2018

Term 1             29thJanuary – 29th March

Term 2             16thApril – 29th June

Term 3             16th July – 21st September

Term 4             8th October – 21st December

What are the Fees to join?

Annual fees entitles the member and child/ren to attend one playgroup session per week. Playgroup fees are payable casually, per term or per year and are non-refundable

The current Fees and Levies for Little Macs Playgroup are as follows:

- Mactier Community Centre annual membership fee - $10 per family

- Playgroup Session fee –   $3 per session or $20 per term or $80 per year / family

- Playgroup Vic membership -$40 per year.

 

Your membership fees covers running costs such as purchasing of toys, books, equipment, craft supplies and tea & coffee supplies

 

Fees can be paid for in cash to the Playgroup Rep or via Direct Debit.

What are the due dates of Fees?

Fees can be paid anytime depending on when you join, however if you wish to enroll and take advantage of a whole term, the fees are due the first day of each term commencment.

Can I attend more than one session per term?

Yes – any member can attend more than one session per term but this will incur an additional term fee of $20 per session, per term.

Why is it mandatory for membership to Playgroup Victoria and how much does it cost?

Membership to Playgroup Victoria is mandatory for ALL members of Little Macs Playgroup. This provides insurance for members and children as well as the playgroup as a whole. The cost of membership is currently $40 per year per family (or $30 per year per family for concession card holders).

 

How do I sign up to Playgroup Victoria?

If you already have a PGV number, please provide us the number on your enrolment form. If you wish to enrol yourself with PGV you can find their application form here: www.playgroup.org.au. Link your membership to Little Macs Playgroup using the code 90935.

 

Where are forms and other important information found?

All forms and important information can be found in the Little Macs playgroup rooms, there is a binder with all relevant paperwork and a welcome booklet for all new members.

Do I have to attend Annual General Meeting?

It is encouraged that all members attend the Annual General Meeting. All members are welcome and are encouraged to attend this meeting as it is an opportunity to contribute to the committee, avail yourself of a confirmed spot for the following year & ensures that all members have equal and fair representation in the general operation of our playgroup.
